You mean I'm not the only one who rides his wing in the buff?? Well, I do wear boots in case I have to stop in gravel.

Wife and I were out for a ride last night - 10 degrees Metriconological. That's about 50 degrees God Fearin'. Wife was a little chilled, I was thinking it was about time to put the liner in my jacket.

I know in the 'olden days' my limit was 3 degrees C - that's about 38 F. I figured below that I could hit icy patches.

That way I could extend riding season till almost the end of October!

Que!!
The other day a Ca. highway patrolman pulled a car over and told the driver that because he had been wearing his seatbelt, he had just won $5000 in the state wide safety competition.
"What are you going to do with the money" the patrolman asks.
"Well I guess I'm going to get a driver license" he replies
"Oh, don't listen to him" yelled the women in the passengers seat. "He's a smart @$$ when he's drunk"
This woke up the guy in the back seat who took one look at the cop and moaned "I knew we wouldn't get very far in a stolen car"
At that moment, there was a knock from the trunk and a voice said in Spanish "hemos cruzado la frontera aún"

Snow here today, they were out spreading all that stuff on the roads. That effectively ends my riding year. I could be coaxed out again if it gets real warm, but not likely.

I did ride Christmas eve one year though!!!!

I find snow to be the unnecessary freezing of water. :d

Heh. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it IS necessary here. In another month we'll be seeing -30 pretty regularly. The only outdoor water NOT frozen is mixed 50/50 with ethylene glycol.

It's forty freaking two degrees out there!!!! Confusedhock:

It got a bit cold earlier in the week but now we are enjoying a late November heat wave. Last Tuesday it was -34C ("37 below" in F) here at sunrise.
Yesterday is was -3C ( "26 above" in F) so I fired the Wing up and went for a spin around the block to warm the oil. An event free slip slide ride except for getting stuck in the freshly back bladed snow in front of the shop door that hadn't froze down yet.

The Metzler 880's offer suprisingly good grip on hard pack snow/rough ice but not so much in the loose stuff.
