Master Cylinder sight glass

I see this post/question is a bit old so here is a small update about master cylinder sight glasses.
The sun here inArizona is brutal and turned my 86's sight glasses almost to mush, so I came here looking for a solution and found :

So,today I just phone ordered 2 kits at 15.00 each. Kits are supposed to include every thing needed to install the new glass lens, plus 2 new allen head srews for the lid, and instructions.

When they arrive early next week I'll write about what they are like
to install, and if possible pictures.

{Say when are they going to invent airconditioning for bikes ?}

I tried the dime epoxy trick and didn't have any luck getting the dime to stick. Anyway lo and behold the epoxy must have done the trick because I have been leak free for over a year!

J-B weld is softened by brake fluid so I wouldn't use that. I wouldn't think silicone would hold either but I guess it does?
