Clutch Part Availability

My Honda dealer says you need to replace the metal plates along with the friction plates when you rebuild the clutch basket. The metal plates are discontinued and he can't find them anywhere. #-O

I looked on the web and can only find the friction plates. Anybody know anything else about this?
