Miss Molly
Well, time to introduce. Thank you all for your help getting her on the road!

Story:

A friend purchased this on my behalf in Feburary. The Previous owner wanted to make a "hot rod" and did his own home brew modifications. This included the handlebars, rear lights, and fenders. He also decided to put the carb floats at 5mm and put in #120 jets.

Once I got it, I replaced the timing belts, replaced coolant, and oil. Brought it home and saw oil out of the weep hole on the garage floor.

Neglecting this, I took it on a 600 mile ride to south texas. In Kerville, the clutch was acting funny, and eventually it went out. The PO's ideal of "replacing everything rubber" meant placing ATV silicone on the piston of my clutch master. It was a fun 300 mi tow back home. It has been sitting since. I figure if he "replaced everything" this way, I better start from scratch.

Here is my list of work since March:
1. OEM Clutch master kit
2. Venco Wings SS Clutch Line
3. OEM Clutch slave kit and all new rubbers
4. Venco Wings SS Brake lines
5. All Balls wheel bearings front and rear
6. All Balls fork seals
7. $80 worth of OEM seals and rubbers for brakes and TRAC
8. 20w fork oil, progressive springs in the front
9. 416 Progressive rears
10. Change rear diff fluid
11. New T-Stat and rings, cross over tube gaskets and o-rings
12. Hard wire stator wires
13. New starter solenoid
14. Howard Halasz rebuilt Carbs with Randakk Kits and Randakk CV slide diaphragms
15. Motion Pro Choke, throttle cables
16. OEM Brake pistons, seals, whole over haul all 3 calipers
17. New Water Pump, seals gaskets, ect
18. Fuel tank professionally cleaned and sealed at radiator shop
19. Radiator professionally cleaned and tank dipped or whatever
18. New spark plugs (iridium)

and a whole mess of beers and adding a few explicatives to my vocab.

Its not finished. I need to get some new handle bars and I am still working to get the rear end sorted out. I also need radiator fins and the plastic piece that joins the two at the top and bottom.

My goal: Back to original state. It will be a long project, but it rides! I finished the bike and celebrated my 4th of July by being able to ride it for the first time!

Enjoy:

Thanks guys. There is still alot more that needs to be done. As stated, all the work is to get it "ridable" . Paint, badges, decals and some frame rust leaves alot to be desired. Electrical is a mess still and looks like a shad tree mechanic worked on it.

Is 32 mpg normal on these things? Everytime I ride, I keep forgetting its a goldwing!

My sister-in-law likes it. :-

Very beautiful bike and rider in the last picture. I get about 36 mpg on my 85. Not as good on my 86.
