help
Is there anyone near northeast Ohio that would be willing to help/take charge of doing a poorboy conversion? My son has a 1200 that needs stator or conversion & it sounds like the conversion is the wisest choice. I'm not physically capable of attempting this but can assist some.

Welcome to the Site!! 8) Check the http://gl1200goldwings.com/members.xls over on the Index page. I don't believe it was visable to you before you joined but you can check it out now! Also you might want to PM Keener your contact info also so it can be added to the list!

If there's no one near enough to help and your son is somewhat mechanicly inclined, he might want to attempt the installation himself. I don't think it's that hard, just a bit time consuming.. After all.... Walter did it!!! #-O :-

hi. I am Dwight. I live down here in Akron, OH. I have never done one before, but I do know what I am doing with my tools and as I also will soon be attempting this converrsion on my 85 Aspencade to prevent loosing my stator. give me a holler if I can be of service as I no longer work due to several other reasons, except I am NOT funded by my Uncle Bill (Gates)...that's just sort of a joke...and besides I 've nothing better to do either with my time. You can call me at 3307459990, here locally or email me at: "wd8inn@yahoo.com". I keep real late hours as well.
