Brake Caliper/RR Master cylinder exploded view

Well there you have it, if you never seen one before, now you have. Rear Caliper on the left top, master cylinder towards the mid bottom. Me being the newbie that I am I had never seen this until I opened this one up. Now I’m just waiting on the new parts to come in so I can finish the job.

Make sure you check the bottom of the o-ring grooves in the caliper with a pick or something for corrosion.. 8)

Oh my bad,.... you said "Caliper" and I showed the master cylinder. I did check and clean the grooves in the calipers as well. They all looked good really, rubber was in good shape, not much corrosion. Just cleaned things up now waiting on the new parts. Overkill..... or piece of mind.... either way its a done deal.

It never hurts to make certain that the brakes on your bike are in top shape as all it takes is one malfunction to cause a disaster.
