did anyone ever R&R a 1200 Int Ignition switch

got my new Honda Ignition today, never ever changed one out, wonder if fairing and false tank have to come off? or can get the 2 6mm bolts with a long extension?
ANYONE ? the Clymer manual doesnt say. |

Fairing doesnt need to come off but false tank needs to so you can access the wiring.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

I got it, I did pull the fairing ahead, removed headlight, bolts in behind, changed the ignition, put some Dielectric grease on the plug. and the ones above it too. some moron had put 1/4 in bolts in place of the stock 6 mm, so I replaced with all new 6mm . |

Can you tell me where you got your ignition switch? Did it come with a new key?

Got from Mother Honda, $126.00 w 2 keys
But if your from USA and if your bike is a 84, theres a Open Recall on your bike.Free Ignition,installed too. |
