Update on L.E.D.tech's light kit
A couple of weeks ago, I contacted Jim about one of his kits. It arrived in the mail yesterday. Here's what's in the kit:
4-1157 red LEDs
2-1157 amber LEDs
2-1156 amber LEDs
2-57 white LEDs
4-ScotchLock taps
2-resistors encased in aluminum heat sinks

I just wanted to say that I highly recommend contacting Jim (L.E.D.tech) if you are wanting to convert your lights over to LEDs. He has been very helpful and extremely patient with all of my dumb questions. Now I just have to get the time to install them.

That's a good kit, but, I would ditch the scotchlocks and use solder and heat shrink. Corrosion will be an issue with the quick connectors and cause connection failures. It's also a good thing to do with the infamous stator wires. Just my 2 cents.

I do prefer soldering and heat shrink where possible but a slight coating of electrical grease on the wires prior to inserting in the scotch locks will prevent the corrosion.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.
