ECU LED's

After a long cold sit I finally got the starter motor rebuilt ('86 SEi) and replaced only to find she'll crank like crazy but not start. No "fuel system" indicator light on the dash when ign is on, so I went through the steps in the manual, i.e. relays, fuses, etc. the manual talks about LED's on the ECU, but I'll be snookered as to where they are? Anybody know anything about these little diagnostic goodies?
