Trip Computer Buttons non responsive 84 GL1200

Tripometer will not reset. Just put bike back together and NONE of the buttons seem to be working on the tripometer, MPG/KMH selector, etc...
Is there a particular connection point I can look for. The steering was not involved in the disassembly. Faring and all other plastic was just put back on the bike |

u might try unhooking cleaning and reconnecting the cables for the trip computer........alot of contacts involved there and would only take one dirty one to screw things up

Try working the air suspension buttons off and on several times with the key on. I've seen that work in cases like yours but it only works if all the wires are hooked up properly.

Did the above, no joy, at a loss since this was all good before the fairing came off... scratching my head...

Maybe you need to work the plugs on the fairing and see if that makes any difference and perhaps one of the connectors is broken or bad. I've seen some that have come apart awfully green with corrosion. Look up the schematic for your bike and get a handle on the wire colors that you need to be looking for.

Perhaps you could look on this site for a member in your area and then ask that member if they would come over and give you a hand on a Saturday.
