Beaded Seat Pad
Canadian Tire only carries the car type at a retail of $9.99 Cdn. The average price for the motorcycle type I've found online is about $15 US with shipping at an average of $12 US.

I'm going to keep looking as I think I might try one.

Who ever said anything about selling seat pads? I just wanted to try one and see if it helped. With 3 young kids, I can afford the $20 right now. $600 for a custom seat? That one is a little tougher.

Sorry if I offended anybody. :?

Now just think, if you went and sold a few hundred of those beaded seats door to door or on the internet you could easily afford to take your kids on vacation and still have enough left over to buy one of those $600. seats. A lot of people have done just that thanks to Ebay and other sales techniques.

I could probably even afford an Odyssey battery and a copy of Windows Vista too.

I like Tricky's idea much better, but that battery and the operating system are pretty darn awesome too.

For anybody that may be interested in a beaded seat cover or any other part for their bike I offer a trusted source:

These people are great to deal with, reliable and fairly priced. I have dealt with them myself and have no problem recommending them.

I just got back from a 3 day trip with my wife from Prince Edward County; it was fantastic except for the stock seat on my wing. I decided to check out my options. I looked at Corbin seats and the cost was about $600. 6 week delivery. I went to a few bikes shops in the Peterborough Ont. area and one place recommended Mustang seats but they don't make seats for gold Wings. I found a shop in Peterborough that the guy specializes in custom bike seats. He showed me some of his work and it looks good. He cuts out part of the old foam to fit your behind, a jell pad on front and rear and puts your same leather back for $350. Plus tax, Canadian. You end up sitting about 1 ½ inch lower but you are sitting in a formed seat. He needs the seat for two days, if anyone is interested let me know and I will give you his info. He is doing mine in about two weeks; I will let you know how it turns out.

Sounds like a deal. You should post that in the seat section.

Watch out for those beaded seat pads, you could end up with waffle butt or golf ball glutes.

The upside to that Exavid is that the waffles keep you from sliding during hard braking.

I've located some beaded seat pads through ChrisChrome at $12.95 US ea. Good price but they want $31 US to ship them via US Postal Service.

Sampson Sport Touring also has them in a made to suit sizes. Prices are okay, but they want $20 US to send them. Total would be about $80 US.

I know it's not the suppliers fault but the shipping costs from the US are at the point where I'm going to keep looking in Canada.

My friend has a beaded seat pad that he let me try, I don't think it is for me. I don't like the feel of it and I also feel like I am sliding all over the seat. My sheepskin works better than that did, at least for me.

Where do you find the sheepskin? I'd love to give that a try. My seat is fine, I just like the way they look.
