No power - Idel ok - fuel in air chamber
84 Wing, rebuilt carbs in 07 running fine. Bike was put up for approx 10 mos in 08 due to needing tires and exhaust. After replacing above items bike started hard. Removed carbs and did a good cleaning. After replacing carb ran better, ran with fresh gas and carb cleaner. The problem is now it idels fine up to 3k, above that pops. When taken for a ride it has no power. Only get about 40mph at full throttle and 3rd gear. After removing the carbs for the 3rd time to check if everything looks ok still same problem. Also now I am seeing fuel in the air chamber, not puddles but just a light coating. Any help in this will be greatly appreciated. Just found out that no. 2 cyl is not getting fuel. (spark and plug ok) Found problem stuck intake valve now to fix. Will try Mystery oil first, if that dosn't work than the ol dreaded pull head.

Bummer, sounds like the long layup caused the valve to stick open. I hope the piston didn't hit the valve & bend it!!

What parts were used in the 07 rebuild.??? If it was K&L stuff, then likely you will need to rebuild again excepting for this time using good stuff... Check here for just one of the better ones out there...
