rear brakes 84
I've bleed the front caliper, the back caliper , the pedal does not bottom on the floor boards (as near as I can tell while driving)
but all I can do is get the rear pedal to slow the bike, not hard stopping, but definatly not able to lock up rear wheel

I'm open to suggestions

When bleeding the rear brake. it is linked to the front right caliper so bleed the rear, then the front right in that order. That should fix it.

Yes it is really easier to take the left saddle bag off than to fight it and using a vacum brake bleeder helps too.

Yeah, taking off the saddle bag is only four 10mm bolts. I don't remove it all the way, just swing it out a couple inches -- far enough to get the brake bleeder hose on it, and get the 8mm wrench on the bleeder.

I just did this last night!

Oh, I also adjusted the actuating arm, so as to reduce the travel. I have not yet had a chance to ride it this way, but it seems that the travel is shorter now. I also adjusted the pedal height by removing the pedal from the shaft and re-aligning it on the splines.

Of course, YMMV, and I have an '86 Interstate, not an '84.

saddle bag removal!
I remember the holes don't line up and I haven't drilled them bigger yet so they do.
4 times now, maybe this time, I'll fix it

Now to add a brake light switch problem, switch on handlebar, works when it feels like. Which is always when I take my glasses off, and get close for a closer look. Just squeezing it in the garage and looking for that familiar red glow- nothing
