Hazards work but no turn signals
I got no blinkers. I found the two flashers under the seat and exchanged the two of them with each other, when i did still had no turnsignals, they don' even light up, and now the hazards only light up and don't flash. So i exchanged them back and found th connector with the blu/blk wire and grounded it as the manual said and still nothing. The fuse is good in the fuse box. Could it still be a faulty flasher? Am I going to have to dig deeper like taking the fairing off to get to the control unit? I'm not much of a mechanic and even less of an electrician. Any imput would be appreciated. Thanks , wally

first thing we need is the year and model u have, sounds like maybe a connector problem and or
possibly burnt out bulb, especially since u had flashers at one time before u exchanged flashers,
but then again it could start at the blinker switch lots of possibilities, have u had the seat off recently before this happened? did u do any other things before u noticed this?

If it was my bike I'd be checking for a clicking noise from the turn signal relay when you hit the turn signal switch with your finger. If no clicking is heard the relay might be dead. The turn signal control unit might be bad. If you were here I'd pull out the wiring diagrams and a 12 volt test light or a VOM and try to track down the source of the problem by process of elimination. I would also recommend that you search carefully for loose or disconnected connectors and ground wires and it would help to know the year and model of your bike so we can help you better.

Sorry for not giving enough info. I have a '85 limited. I have only had it a couple of weeks and the turn signals didn't work when i got her. I don't hear a sound when flipping the switch on the handle bars. I tried following the trouble shooting guides in a clymer manual, but it seems i need to take off the fairing to do further test. I was hoping someones experience could help me before i had to do that. Thanks, wally

Check the relay and the switch before pulling the fairing.

I checked the relay and it is ok. I am assuming when you say check the switch you are talking about taking the switch apart on the handle bars. wally

you should be able to check under the seat also at the relay and/or to see if u are getting a 12v signal when the switch is on
