Digital dash mod
My orginal dash died a few years ago and replaced it with a US model. lt works fine but is in MPH at start up and l sometimes forget to switch it to KM's. l seen the Douce mod on here and copied the picture, but dont remember what to do now. Can anybody help? l can't get anymore speeding tickets!!

Here I am searching all over the place, I knew I had it somewhere....

For anyone wanting to Change the startup default on your LCD speedo
from MPH to KM/H or KM/H to MPH
just move jumper on speedo circuit board


I have never actually had a close look at the board but it seems there is a jumper on either MPH or KPH and you just move the jumper over. I am assuming it is just a simple jumper connector.

Looking at the picture of the board, there are 4 holes I would think that the two holes I marked yellow would be the KPH and the red MPH.
It might be a soldering job.
Like I said I have never looked at mine.

Not sure if this helps, but on my 87 Aspy it defaults on startup to what ever it was last manually set to... Possibly there was a factory mod done to it in the later years...

I have a 86 model Aspencade and it always start on Mph in a Km/h contry=(

Just don't use a big soldering gun, instead use a pencil type soldering iron with proper low heat electronics solder containing flux.
