My 84 aspencade
I'm just trying to get a pic on this site. Lets see if I got it yet.
<IMG>

It don't seem to want to work for me. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong. I signed up on that site. I entered my pics, I copied the complete URL that starts with IMG and then pasted it here. No good. Only the IMG stays.

For starters replace the <with> with ]. The first box tells the forum that a link of some sort is up ahead so url tells it that it is a regular link, img tells it it's an image file. Then you need to have something at the end use the [ again and the instruction should start with /.

For this example replace <> with []
<url>www.gl1200goldwings.com</url>

Or replace url with img to get post a picture in your post.

If you still find it to hard you can create a http://photobucket.com and upload the pics. Then they will give you three options under the pics you upload for these forums, one is a TAG (I've never used this one), one is a url (opens up in a new window) and the final one is a img. Just copy all the stuff in the box and past it in your posts.

I give it another try.

OK After three more tries because my image was way too big, I finally got it.

Boy did you ever get it. And you got the pics up too! Big Grin

Is this the same bike that was gutted in another thread? At any rate she looks great right there. Good job.

Yep, same bike! And when I was done I didn't have any parts left over except I was missing one of the six small headed bolts that hold the radiator chrome cover in place.

The next year I was messing with the horns and found the small headed bolt. I just put it in the wrong place.

Looks like you took the images down or the site you were hosting them on dosen't like haveing them linked to other sites.

Do you mean you have before and after pics? How about posting them here.

That is one clean looking 1200 you have there. Nice job.

It looked about the same before I started working on it. I didn't get any before pics because I didn't own a camera at the time. One of the first pics I took of it was when it was torn apart for the stator surgery. That is the same bike in the stator pics and this one.
