Fuel Pump
I was riding the other day,Went to town stopped a library for about a hr then went to get something to eat.Going down the road about 35 and the bike just quit like it ran out of gas. first thing i did was reach down and checked the shut off, It was on. Pulled over checked all the fuses,Fuel filter but couldn't get it to start. Called a wreaker and had it toed home. Next day took the filter off, looked like it hadn't been changed in years, You could dump rusty crap out of it. Put on a new one still wont start. I took off the pump and made a jumper that I could conect to my battary put green to ground and black to hot. Nothing, switched wires, still Nothing. Honda does not have them any more and I don't feel safe buying a used one, with my luck it would go out in a short time and I am wanting to go on some long rides and don't want to be stuck on the side of the road. does any body know where I might get one? or know of something that would work in it's place. My Bike is a 1985 GL1200 Interstate.

I just did a search on google and came up with this: http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/default.asp
It looks like they do stock it for $110. I don't know anything about this outfit, this is strictly from a search.

It shows a picture and info for a fuel pump he bought at O'Reilly Auto. May be what you are looking for. I was thinking about looking into this myself because mine gets noisy from time to time and may need to be replaced soon.
