Our "new to us" 85 Aspy arrived by trailer this last spring after sitting for 3 years in a shed with the fuel turned on....
I wasn't sure what kind of oil to use ... but I knew the carbs needed cleaning... I overhauled the carbs with a GL1200 carb kit from Randakk Cycles http://www.randakks.com and would recommend the service and excellent quality of the parts. We've ridden about 10,000 km ( 6000 miles ) to shake down the bike and it looks like a keeper. Next on the carbs & tuning project list is a Morgan tune instrument to do sweet carb synch's as necessary or just for fun. |

I agree, Randall is highly regarded as a class act, and he is quite careful about what he sells.
I also agree about the Morgan tune or any other quality manometer as being an essential tool. The difference in ride-ability of a freshly synced set of carbs is hard to over estimate. I try to do it two or three times a season, and consider it time well spent.

i also agree.. Randall is a very nice man, his parts are top quality, i also bought his carb rebuild kit for my 1200 and my friends 1100 and both machines run like brand new!!... if you need carb kits, go randall's or nothing.
