Lance, Lance, Lance.......you live in the Pacific Northwest. Never seen rain before? All that means is you stand a chance of getting wet. I don't mind because I've been "all wet" for years. But I am confused about why we should feel better since it's raining somewhere else, Ian :?

I'm looking at the concept of putting the bike up for the winter, but I'm holding out for one or two nice afternoon rides. I dislike the rain as well, but have to say it was a wonderful riding season. We had some absolutely memorable rides, and met some really nice people. Time to start in on all the projects. I'm hoping to go for an external alternator, and the brakes and carbs should be rebuilt before they start to give trouble. That and as much cosmetic work as I have time for. I've got to make a couple of pieces for Angela as well.
Not only that, my GasGas has been sorely neglected and I've put on some weight. Trials bikes love the rain.
Every season has a place, and it's own good parts. No sense hating what must be there.

Tim, I thought all of us in the north west stuck with the stators!
My insurance is good for another few weeks and then it's getting the old tear down for the winter.
Roscoe, don't worry, we get our digs in about you whether you're on the board or not!

I have driven my bike to work 150 kl round trip 8 out of 10 times in the last two weeks as low as 2 degrees Celsius or 35 degrees fahrenheit. I have a full face helmet and a wet suit, I am going to get every minute of riding I can before he snow comes. It is a bit cold on the way to work at 6 AM but great on the way home. I see a lot of bikes on the way, the season is not over for me yet, the wife and I are going for an afternoon ride today.
Ride safe have fun and enjoy. Lane
