Tail light relay

I am having trouble with tail lights and was wandering if someone can show me a pic of what tail light relay looks like. I know that it is supposed to be to the left of the radiator cap, but have found a couple there. My symptoms are this: the tail lights are not working in the run position, but do work in the park position. The warning light on the dash is working. Also, the cornering lights are on all the time. These symptons have appeared now for the second time, the first time the symptoms were the same, and things went back to normal without any work or correction. Each time they occured I have had the seat off. Any ideas and info would be appreciated.

Check the connections that go to the rear lighting. They are inside the rubber sleeves on either side of the mudguard.

Could be they are corroded or not connecting properly.

If your grounding isnt good on the connections you might get that problem

Well taillights and display lights have not been on for several days and cornering lights have not been off. I went out this morning to leave for work, same thing. I cranked up and was sitting for just a moment before leaving and revved the engine which torqued the bike a little bit and everything went to working like it is supposed to. :?

Obviously you have a poor connection somewhere.
