Updated regulator-rectifier ??
While reading the September issue of Wing World magazine I came across something interesting. In the technical section, someone wrote in about the static you get in the intercom on the 1200's. They mentioned about how the factory and add-on filters don't work but said there is an updated regulator-rectifer which takes care of the problem. Anyone here have any knowledge about it and if it does indeed work.

There was a filter made by J&M but unfortunately has been out of production for several years. It did work at least for me.
Anything later or by any other company, I havn't heard of anything.
This is the diagram.
There were two capacitors wired together 2200UF 35V with a green wire and red wire but where the hooked up in the actual plug I cant say. The green wire was connected to the - sign on the cap.
If you try using the grounds it might help alleviate the interference.

The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

I read the same article and can attest to the contents as far as a new regulator/rectifier are concerned. Having just replaced the stator, I also put in a new reg/rec from RMStator and noticed the background hiss in the intercom was greatly reduced. It's still there if the volume is turned up too high but it worked for me.

Thanks Tricky, I'll keep investigating. Maybe I'll give J&M a call and see if they have anything.
