New Product (maybe)
I just talked to sierra and they ARE still repairing radios for the 1200. They also have a product called the intergrator that is an intercom and am/fm radio that you can buy. If you have helmet mikes that are the new 8 pin style you will just need patch cords and away you go. It may be the answer for those having intercom and radio issue that can't fix or dont want to fix that system. Its inexpensive and can be hard wired to the 12V system. Just thought I would let people know that something is available when the old radio/intercom does finally die.

Is this product made by Sierra, or is it made by someone else and Sierra sells it? I was at their website and did a search but did not find an "intergrator". It sounds like it might be something worth looking into!

it was on sierra's website. I did a search for intercom (not intersoms) and its on that page and yes i think its made by J&M the people who make headsets.

here is the website page <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sierra-mc.com/search.asp">http://www.sierra-mc.com/search.asp</a><!-- m --> and this is the page with the product on it <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM%2DJMSR%2D4020">http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp ... MSR%2D4020</a><!-- m --> Hope that helps. As i said it might be something for someone like me who isnt into keeping everything authentic but just wants something that wokrs and doesnt cost an arm and a let. The unit is around 100 and the guy at sierra said that my mikes would work and i would need patch cords that would cost around 25 each so not a bad deal. When my intercom goes out it is the way im going. Its just so hard to find parts for my 85 aspy or a mech that will work on other than engine stuff. Thats why when i put the progressives on the front and rear i dumped the compressor altogether. No air in the front and i use a regular schrader valve next to the helmet locks for the rears which pump up nicely with a bike pump.
