progressive fork springs
one of the upcoming repairs that I need to make is to replace the front fork seals. I have read accounts of where the springs are switched to progressive ones. My bike is a 85 sei and I understand hat the stock springs are two piece in each fork and are heavier than on a standard. I am not really sure if this is true. My question is what benefit will I obtain by upgrading to these springs? I only weigh 170 and the stock ones seem ok. would I just be wasting my money?

If your happy with the ride that your getting now then don't change them.
If the seals are shot and your going to do the job, check or change the bushings at the same time.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

The bushings they are talking about are the, I think, sliders on the bottom of the upper halves of the forks. Its where the make contact with each other, sliding in & out. They will wear after alot of mileage, & from dirty fork oil. You will see them when you get things apart. By the way Straytwice, did you happen to get rid of that corbin seat? Don't know if you got my last pm.
Thanx
