Hi Jim,
Just looking for clarification on the wiring to the signal lights. The wiring harnes on my bike has a harness as you described it in the diagram, however the portion going to the saddle bag only does "ONE" side. There is a seperate set for the left rear signal lights. Does your diagram presuppose that the harness going to the saddle bag does both?
If that is the case it appears you are trying to put the lights in parallel. If so I will need to change my wiring a little from your diagram for me.

Hi David, I know Jim responded to your post, but try to just replace the stock bulbs with the LEDs first. I didn't have to do the wire modification with the exception of the risistors for the turn signals. Good Luck Brian

We have had several reports of plug and play.
Why? I dont know....
My 85 GL 1200 A requires the mod, and other 85 GL 1200 A's dont.
I wonder why this is?

Maybe it depends if the bike was built early or late in the year, possibly a wiring change?
