Fuel Lines
How many of our bikes are still using the original fuel lines?

22 years and counting, it could be time for replacement.

A 12" length of hose 1/4" or 3/8" depending on your model, and replacement hose clamps might be all that is between a major burn up or trouble free riding.

Just a thought.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

That's a great question Tricky. I have first hand proof that the fuel lines don't last forever, just read this; http://gl1200goldwings.com/viewtopic.php?t=958

fuel injection clamps? haven't heard of them, but I could sure use them for the oil cooler lines on my HD.... the typical "hose clamps" allow for some leakage.... of course my HD is just trying to make my 1000 and 1200 not feel bad about their leakage

The fuel injection clamps are just a little more heavy duty, a little more round and make a little better seal than the run of the mill clamps. Just go to any quality auto parts supply store and ask for them.

1/4" AFAIK

3/8 for 85 Limited

3/8 I believe for models after 86.

Easy enough to check, if you going to change the hose, then remove a piece and take it with you.

Hey Tricky,
Thanks for the reminder. I bought some fuel line about a month ago, and forgot to change it.
