Hey Vic
First time I noticed that your motor was blacked out.Looks really good like that.Always liked the look of the Midnight Venture Yamaha.Mostly black with a minimal amount if chrome. Finally got to ride a brand new one last summer at the Deerhurst Inn in Huntsville and hated it.It looked sharp, but that's where it ended for me.

If Id'a known it would last this long I would've taken better care of it !!!

You did an outstanding job on the restoration. She's a real beauty.

I do have one concern though,I may be wrong but I believe that the tires you have on your Wing are cruiser tires, not Touring tires and they may not have the correct weight rating for a fully loaded Gold Wing. As such they could overheat under the right circumstances and fail causing a total loss of control. Check into it for your own safety.

I like the blacked out engine, it gives my bike a kind of sporty look.

What didn't you like about the Midnight Venture Yamaha?

Oh man, does that bring back memories. Ring ga ding ga ding but go like stink. I had the expansion chambers on mine and it was loud and I swear I saw more clouds than asphalt when I rode that thing. What a thrill but not near as reliable as a GL1200. I was constantly putting pistons in that H2 but it was worth the fun.

Thanks for posting that pic the memory thrilled my heart.
