GL 1200 INDICATOR SPRING
HI I'M NEW ON THE SITE, MY 86 GL 1200 ASPENCADE HANDLEBAR INDICATOR SPRING HAS BROKEN (and i lost it having a quick look) I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE IT SHOULD BE CONNECTED ALSO IN THE HAYNES MANUAL IT SAYS THESE INDIVIDUAL PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND YOU HAVE TO BUY THE COMPLETE UNIT,CAN ANY BODY HELP PLEASE

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about???? Is it the turn signal return spring? Is it possible that you could post a picture so we could help you better?

Please use lowercase, A it's hard to read and B Using uppercase is considered shouting.
Are you talking about the signal indicator switch?
These things are purchased as a unit, check out ebay for parts. Never having had the thing apart I don't know what the springs are like.
Try This one is for an 84 but should be the same

Sorry about the SHOUTING ,
The part i am talking about is the left handlebar turn signal switch, slide to operate turn signals /push to cancel ,it has become loose and i have to hold it in the off position to stop the left or right turn signals from coming on accidently.
Thanks for the help (i'll probably have to buy the switch complete)but just thought someone might know a way round this to save time
