Where do I connect this wire?

The directions to my driving lights tells me to connect the "red" wire (from relay)to the "parking/headlight" positive....are they just looking for a switched hot?

Where can I find this wire without taking out the headlight yet again?

I hooked them up to see how they would work running wires outside the bike and they are just INCREDIBLE.

I have to find my meter so I can be sure I will have some juice in the battery and what type of draw they add at certain rpm's.

I also put in the H4 Silverstar so I can't wait to see how the new light system works.

Then just ignore their instructions because it sounds like they expect you to switch on these driving lights with or instead of the headlight.

Wire it up according to the diagram shown.
I don't know what your red wire does, it might be the power going to the driving lights or the power going to control the relay. you didnt say.

IF the red is going to #30 on the relay then wire it up with the fuse directly to the battery.
IF the red wire is connected to #86 then it will go via the independant switch to the accessory positive.

If your relay doesnt have any numbers, then get back to us

This particular wire is like 22 guage and goes to the switch for the driving lights. I think they want it to a switched positive as the light switch has a green and red led and they might not want this lit when parked...

Bottom line is where is the accessory positive TERMINAL?

I will finish the install tomorrow and take some pics..they are killer lights!

also looking to add this in black so I am not stranded out in the middle of death vally

You have an accessory positive terminal on the fuse block on top of the air filter. It's switched to turn off and on with the key.

Are ya sure these 55 watters that seem to light up the moon won't kill my stator? (PO said to have replaced it while rebuilding the engine) I guess my question might be does the extra amp draw require the stator to work much harder and heat the dang thing up?

Your light switch has three connectors, one is from acc+
the ground goes to acc -
and the other will go to switch the relay.

When your bike is off there will be no power going to the switch, and anyway it will only light up when it is switched on if you wire it correctly

I seriously doubt that they will kill your stator but they will kill your battery if you do a lot of low/slow speed driving. That even goes for the bikes equipped with the external alternator unless you have a large diameter crank pulley installed.

Looks good. What kind of lights are they? Did you make or buy the mounts.
