How to make Stock exhaust sound a lil louder?

I have found on my gl500 drilling four 0.50" holes in the baffles and end plate concentric of each other has improved the sound dramatically. Not much louder but has a very nice throaty sound. I intend to do the same with my gl1200, if you try this I would recommend starting with two and progressing from there, it has also improved throttle response and hill pulling. The benefits may not be as noticeable on a larger engine but I think it would be worth it.
