dumb question but never done it
what is the correct way to pull the false tank? i just did my belts and drained my antifreeze and now need to refill and need to know

there are two bolts that attach the tank to the fairing (hidden under the ruber thingies.... and two at the rear (under the side panels) comes off in one piece
78 GL1000 (original owner), 86 1200 with motorvation sidecar (wife's), 05 Road King, and 75 frame and lots of parts
state map: "Lots"-all states if you indlude all my bikes

According the the honda manual:

Remove the seat, two allen bolts, on 84 pull seat latch (behind fuel compartment) after 84 slide seat to rear and pull up front.

Remove left and right pockets.

remove front frame covers ( by the side of the pockets.

Remove side covers

remove two bolts at the front and two bolts at the rear

When replacing make sure throttle cables are not snagged
