The two lights, one on either side of the headlight do you mean.

They should come on when you turn you ignition on.

If they dont I would think it is a question of the bulbs being burnt out. I have changed mine on occasion.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

Wow, I didn't know our bikes had little lights beside the headlights. So, after reading this post I went out to the garage to check and sure enough there ARE small lights on each side of the headlight Big Grin  Confusedhock:

One of mine is burned out. The one that does work is a fairly dim light in contrast to the headlight, I'm guessing its not supposed to be a real bright light, but rather there just for effect :?:

Tricky, do you happen to have the number of the bulb that goes there? I checked my owners manual but did not see it listed there?

I would like to get one and see if I can figure out how to put it in Tongue
(How many Goldwing owners does it take to change a light bulb Confusedhock: ) Ha..ha..

Thanks

Dale,
I was able to find some halogen bulbs that work in there
There made by Wagner and the part # is 47830.
The hard part is to get the parts counter guy’s off their butt’s to order them.
I went to Napa.
Mine are as bright as my headlight.

Ok guy's if you can't find the Wagner 47830 bulbs the # off the old bulbs is 37R E6 206. I googled that # and found a Honda part # of 34903-388-611.
Also keep in mind when changing out bulbs don't touch them with a bear hand as the oil from your skin will burn them out faster.
hope this helps
Dale if you want help changing your's let me know as it get's a little Involved. Smile

I wonder if LEDs are made for that size? They are brighter and take a fraction of the power.

That is a lot of power draw there and a lot of heat, be careful not to overload your avalible power.

Use the BA9S 4 LED 1 Flux bulb in white

not as bright as the halogen, but bright enough for the design of that light fixture and nearly no power draw, maybe 3/1000 of an amp.

Jim,
I went to your web site but did not see this BA9S bulb you mentioned. Also I maybe interested in installing an LED Brake light. By reading on your site, I should use a 1157 in Red?

If you want them I can have them in about a week, just say the word and I will order them now.

on the tail/Brake lights, wait till about the end of october, there are some new ones on order that are much better and very much brighter.

the 1157 ambers on my site will work great for the front turn signals on the 1200.

Losten the mirror mount bolts, remove the lower windshield trim.

Remove the headlight grille, 2 phillipps screws
you will see the headlight screws then.

I will order the lights today

FYI.
On my 85 you have to take the mirror bolts out to remove the lower windshield trim.
