Trunk Signal conversion ??
Its the same. The lens is amber.
I didnt notice that it looked that way till you mentioned it.
I wonder if my flash went on one and not the other????
I just point and shoot with my camera and let it do all the thinking....hurts my head if I have to think too hard Big Grin

(10minutes later)
I just went and lightened up the pic a bit and the amber is more noticable now.

I used some of my nail polish remover  And took the paint off and it came out like this

What kind of nail polish remover did you use, I tried some it didnt even touch the paint.
The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.

I tried nail polish remover too, and it didn't do much. Then I tried a product called "Goof Off" that I use for heavy duty cleanups around the garage. WOW! That stuff took the paint right off. I helped it a little with an old toothbrush. I wouldn't want to breathe it all day but for occasional use it's great.

I used "Cutex" contains acetone.
I used a tooth brush also to get into the tight spots.

I presume neither of those products hurt the lens in any way?

I could not see any damage to the lens of any kind. The plastic surfaces are still smooth and the edges sharp. No clouding or anything like that.

Acetone can melt plastic....

You need to be very careful with anything that contains acetone.
Pure acetone can strip the finish off real fast.
Personally I would not use pure acetone on the plastic.
Try a small inconspicious spot first (hows my spelling? )
I didnt leave the "cutex" on for very long, I then washed it with soapy water.

inconspicious.......inconspicuous

The nail varnish remover I used had acetone in it but it had absolutely no affect on the silver paint whatsoever, I have a couple of rear lamp flasher bulbs I shall try.

OK I tried again, I wasnt leaving the nail polish remover on long enough, I guess I was a little apprehensive about the acetone acting on the plastic.

They are a lot brighter now.

Did anyone come up with a brighter festoon bulb?
