It's work in progress. The bike was somewhat neglected before I bought it but it's coming along.

Looks like the basic bike is ok, Walter. No doubt you'll have her in top shape soon. Also nice to see you have a twin to mine. We met another twin in Idaho this summer. Maybe next year, when we head down the coast, we'll get together.

You've gotta like that, a couple of twin bikes in the best place on earth!
This year has been quite hectic with moving and all so a nice trip down the coast next year would be great. |

she looks really something Walter, congratulations, well done.
I have a 86 aspy which is work in progress as well, and it's been wonderfully satisfying to see her respond to a bit of TLC. good luck. cheers.

It's incredible how good these old girls can look. Keep up the good work. The thing I can't get rid of with my 85I is rust on the chrome where two pieces join together. One day I'll either replace the pieces or maybe even rechrome them, but for now I polish and smile!

Thanks for the positive feedback all!
Angela, I actually bought the bike of a fellow not far from you. I got it from a guy in South Surrey. Just drop a note if you're heading this way. Always up for a coffee. the wife and sometimes take a jaunt out towards the city so we'll do the same. |

Good lookin' bike. You'll enjoy it immensely. BTW, what front tire are you running? I don't recognize the tread pattern.
Cheers & Congrats FTO

That's another thing that is to be dealt with in the future. It's a Kenda. It was on the bike when I got it and has too much tread to justify changing at this point. It seems to be alright.

I just bought mine, looks exactly like yours! I will put a custom paint job on it , though, and make it really dark candy blue. And black upholstery all over ( by me)
