SubVet Wrote:What size adapters is needed for the 1200? I see several listed for this product. Hi SubVet, Honda uses 5MM adapters. It did solve most of my popping problem, I still have a small amount but it has got rid of 90% of it, there is other things that can cause popping but in my case the carb sync got rid of most of it. My carbs were out by a lot so I did notice s big difference in many areas.

Thanks Lane,
Great presentation! This is on my list of things to do, next. I've experienced the popping when idling down, but no backfire issues. My average mileage runs 45 to 46 MPG which isn't too bad, but I've felt that the engine could just run a little better & smoother. This might just do the trick and then I'll do a full tune up before next Spring. Thanks again. Cheers, FTO

I just finished syncing my carbs and I'm one real happy camper. After investing $103 and a little over an hour of learning and tuning, about 98% of my popping is now gone! And yes, they were definately due for a good sync. I'll be checking on my sync on a regular basis from now on.
Thanks for the tip! |

Thatâs great subvet, I am glad it made that much if a difference. Once you have figured it out it is quite easy to sync your carbs. It is a good investment, one that will pay for its self the first time you use it.

Had my carbs syncro done today and even on the ride home I noticed a difference, the bike was also running about 300 rpm less and it sounded alot better, with a new air filter and a container of blue job, my total bill was 149.03 taxes in. Not a bad deal for having this work done by a Honda dealer.
If everybody subscribed to the theory of an eye for an eye, the world would eventually be blind.

However, you could have just purchased the meter and done it yourself and it wouldn't have cost you a red cent in the future. Also, when I did mine, I was amazed as to the difference. What is this BLUE JOB and what is it for? |

I am glad it made a differance with the sync, you might consider getting your own meter for the future, it is not hard to do your self. As Subvet ask, what is blue job?

I think that I figured out what Blue Job is. It's a chrome/exhaust pipe cleanter. Here's the URL: http://www.blue-job.net/[/url]

Thats great Rozanski, let us know how it turns out. There is a lot people purchase the manometer and they seem quite happy with the results. If you have any questions just ask.
