Well Tim...
if you want, I'll have my guy let me know when he gets another set in to give me a call. he converts 15 & 18's to trikes so he gets quite a few. he's about 90 miles from me so it's a good afternoon trip. there is another shop half the distance from me but he's twice the price!

well...
I started on the conversion this afternoon. this is gonna be fun! (yeah right)
but it will be worth it in the long run I'm sure.
one thing I discovered, I'll never trust a certain Honda mechanic again. when I first got my wing last year I wasn't confident enough to replace my tires myself so, I had the Honda shop do it for me. besides a list of other things this guy did (or didn't do) is, when he tightened the axle nut he must have used an air powered impact wrench. the book calls for 69ft-lb. torque. I used a 30" breaker bar and it was all I could do to get the nut loose. I swear it had to be at least 300ft-lb. I think I'm gonna have a serious talk with the service manager. [Image: 8814.gif] I'll keep ya up-dated on my progress. till then,
ride safe

is anyone interested in pictures, or has this been beat to death?

I'd love to see some pics as you go along John especially where the deep mods are done.

I too would like some pictures so I could evaluate if I want to do the conversion- Are there many folks who have sucessfully completed the rear end conversion from 12-1500?

thanks
Tim

OK guys,
I'll start posting tomorrow evening. I think this is going to be an interesting project. next is going to be the front wheel. I have the fork lowers and fender plus the rotor covers and brake calipers. now if I can get a deal on a wheel...
