Your links to parts sources are valuable and needed.
Hello all , I am looking for parts to restore my GL1200 Standard. I am actually pretty much well on my way and need very little to complete it , one of the parts needed is the landing cover for the right-hand side in front of the false tank that hides the frame and the radiator filler cap that's underneath it . It is about 7"X3" black plastic and slips under the false tank top of the frame . I'm sure everybody with the standard most part I'm talking about . I know this is a difficult part to find and I'm going to pay up for . I was wondering if someone that has one might know someone with a 3D printer that could make one , again I'm going to pay up . Please let me know and thank you . Eric

Tricky,

I think the part he is looking for is #24 in the diagram. CVR R FR Shelter Part # 83141-MG9-000. I might have one, but I'll have to look for it.

I need to rebuild the front forks and rear air-shocks on my 85 aspy. Is there a "list " of parts to replace and or inspect during the rebuild. Also where can I acquire said parts. All help and info Very much appreciated

I wonder if you can get anything from this

You should be able to get parts from your local Honda dealer (hopefully)

The link is to parts of the 84-85 manual for the goldwing.

I find it easier to remover the forks from the bike and do things on the bench., You will need a soft jaw vice or lots of cloths around the forks.

Make sure you undo the bottom allen bolts before removing the top cap, be aware the cap is under pressure when removing it.

I usually use a ratchet and socket and keep my chest pressing down as I remove the cap.

I would replace the springs with progressive springs makes for better handling, I know they are expensive but I replaced my rear shocks with progressive units. http://www.progressivesuspension.com/
