Saddle bag side lights, some got it some dont, what gives??

My 86 1200A does not have lights in the lower sides of the saddle bags, yet ive seen some pictures of others that had this.
So was it only on fuel injected bikes or the 87 and nothing else?
Or is it an aftermarket add on??

Some aftermarket suplliers used to have kits to convert all the reflectors into lights, I'm guessing that this is what you might be talking about. Chris Chrome might still have some of those kits available.
