Ask about what oil to use in your bike, or what tire is best, then hold onto your hat because of the FLOOD of opinions.
One thing is agreed by all, however, we are a family of GL1200 owners and we will do whatever it takes to keep our bikes, alive and well, under us and on the road.

Happy Trails!

wild horse brings up an interesting question....
how fast can a GL1200 go with a hurricane as a tail wind?
I would bet, mpg might go up too.

(just a thought brought on by A.D.D.)

I now return you to your regularly scheduled program........

Speaking of hurricanes, a tornado touched down in a neighboring community and Butler was under a tornado warning. [Image: attachment.php?attachmentid=18369&stc=1&d=1365392794] Nothing can be as much fun as being hunkered down in Wal-mart.
Those are always good threads about oil, filters, tires and crush washers. I know I've put my 2 cents in on a few of those for the GL1500. My replacement Wing will be a 1200 as soon as I can save up some $$$.

Hey trike lady, just want you to know that you do not need to replace your 1500 with a 1200 to belong here as we accept all types of bikes at this forum. All we ask is that you disconnect 2 spark plug wires to make things more even when we are riding together.;-)

This is my 1993 GL1500A with Voyager in October 2012 I sold 'Baby' to a gentleman who was looking for a nice Wing. I was very heart broken when I had to sell and very upset. I have recently been employed in a bike shop in Butler, PA, I'm saving my money and looking for a nice 1200 to add an Insta-trike unit to. I'm not too happy being 'Wingless' and I like the look of the 1200.

Hello and welcome from the Carolinas. Good luck in quickly finding a 1200 so you will not be wingless long.
