Corbin and Road sofa seat

Joined: Jun 2014 Location: Missouri, but travel for wifes job, Travel Nurse RN Bike: '87 GL1200 Aspencade

Does anybody know why Corbin and Saddleman Road Sofa seats are only listed to fit 84, 85 and 86 1200's and not 87's. I'm wanting to upgrade to one of those, but they neither one list 87's. I thought all years of 1200 seats were interchangeable.
