CB installation question

Installing a cb, first for my 85 ltd. The problem I'm having is; coming out of auto volume control is a single black wire. The instructions say it connects into a white/black wire coming from the fairing harness can't seem to find the connection point. There is a fair amount of wire with a nipple type connector does this feed through from the fairing pocket to a connector outside of the fairing pocket? Thanks for any direction you can give
