New members post up a howdy!
I'll gladly post of picture of my Wing Keener whenever I can go get it and ride it home. We're in the middle of a two-day snowstorm right now with over two feet of snow on the ground!
It'll probably be a couple of weeks before the weather cooperates for me. In the meantime, I'll just sit and dream of my 1200 machine

Hey, UP'er, I know what you're going through. My 'Wing has been parked since the first of October and our weather keeps delaying my getting her out of storage. It looks promising for this coming weekend, though. All we can do is wait, right?

Howdy all! Just wanted to say how glad I am to find this site. I have a 1984 GL1200 that I have been riding for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, my stator is currently bad and I have purchased Don's kit for the alternator modification. So expect a lot of questions.
Thanks,
Jerry

Like UP'er said the weather here in Michigan has not been exactly spring like, although here in the thumb it's much nicer than in the UP. Can't wait till it gets a bit warmer to keep the ice off the roads.

Believe me I have already read every post in that section. A lot of great info there. But, leave it to me, I'll find a way to mess it up. Still, I can't wait for next month so I can do the conversion and get back to riding. Weather has been up and down here in the Houston, TX area.

A new member here just wanting to say hi. I've got an 85 Interstate that I have had about 6 years. When I bought it, it had 29K on it (but I think it was 129K). It now shows 67K and I'm still very happy with it.

You've got a nice site here, Vic. I've been following your postings on other boards for several years and have picked up a number of helpful tips in that time. So thanks very much.

New here, even if it is on page 5.

I just ran across this website by accident, came in, looked around, looks good! I see some here from over on the other, bigger boards. I like having one with 1200 stuff in one spot as well.

I'm not a mechanic by trade, but I have been blessed to be able to do near 100% of the work in repairing and maintenance on my vehicles for over 30 years. Right now that includes the 1200 Aspencade I've had since '95, a 1500 trike, an old Triumph, and 3 cars and a PU trk.

Maybe I can kick in some ideas that might help someone, maybe I'll find some help here from time to time. In any case, it looks like fun.

Later .... Smile

Hello. My name is Henning Nielsen, I live in Denmark, and i am driving a GL 1200 LTD. This bike is imported from USA, they were not sold in Denmark for many years. We could make the dealers import a GL 1200 LTD if you could pay the price, it was about 50000 dollars in 1985!
I am very happy to drive my bike, and hope it will last for many years.

Hello and welcome Henning. You're riding one of my most favorite Wings.
I hope you enjoy your time here and learn much as you go.

I am amazed at the big price of the LTD over there, it must be because it's gold.

Welcome, CrystalPistol and Henning to the best GL1200 site there is. Obviously, the site is becoming known around the world which is great.
