87 Aspy idles too fast at 1500rpm
Just replaced the plugs, and also did the front fork seals on my 87 Aspencade. Now it idles at 1500, and will slowly move up ( to 1600 or 1700) after riding a while. Choke is all the way off. Now, I did drop one of the little screws that hold the black plastic housing around the ignition and odometer buttons. Could that little screw have gotten stuck in the throttle linkage (where of course, I can not see it) or any other suggestions? I also ran a glug or so of MMO in the tank, to no avail. Appreciate the help!

Check to make sure the cables are still tracking in the bell crank. Double check your routing of the throttle cables. You may have put them in a bind working over the bars
