Front Fairing
Can anyone point me in the direction for removing the front fairing? I have not found any threads that describes the degree of difficulty. I am repainting the bike and it is the last thing to do on the full restore. I appreciate any help.

Thank
Tony

I think it is covered in the following diagrams however they omit one thing, on the left side inner wall there are three electrical connectors, these must be removed from the fairing.
They can be somewhat awkward to remove but careful use of a good large blade screwdriver they will come out, all three connectors are different sizes so when you re-install them you cant get them in the wrong place.
Clean all the connectors and receptacles and apply a smear of dielectric grease on install.

you will need help to remove the fairing, removing the windshield will help to reduce any damage to the shield.

The 84 seat is shown, later models don't have the lever at the front

The only stupid questions are the one's that are not asked.
