Taking Waterproof couplers apart - sheridat - 10-26-2011

Hi,

My LTD has four waterproof couplers under the shelter for example the oil pressure sensor coupler (yellow). I've never come across these type of couplers before - how do I take them apart ?????

Thanks Terry

hello Terry,
there are two tabs on the side, one releases it from the metal clip and then you can turn the coupler to see it all around,
there is another tab that unlocks the two pieces, you have to catch the tab and pull it away from the coupler just slightly and it will unlock the two pieces.
I can take pictures and explain it better if you have trouble getting it.
I will be home on the the weekend but hopefully this helps..

Thank You for helping me out with this. I wouldn't have guessed how the couplers were held on to the bracket and your right once you can turn the coupler around the mechanism for taking it apart is revealed.

I'm giving the couplers a clean and respraying the bracket which was very rusted.

Cheers Terry
