- myplace 46 - 06-14-2007 This is the clock/volt meter/thermometer I added. I'm not real happy with the way I had to do the wiring on this, I'm still thinking on what I can do with it. the unit is mounted with velcro over the cassette tape door. on the left and right bottom corners you can see the two little accent lights I stuck on. they light up blue and I'd prefer green to match the back light of the gauges. - myplace 46 - 06-14-2007 Remote control for CD changer stuck on with velcro, works great! yeah, the reddish color around the air vent is over spray that came through vent when painting the front of fairing, just haven't taken the time to clean it off yet. the right side is done though The power supply for CD 12 disk changer mounted in left saddlebag clearer shot I suppose there better solutions but I can load 12 disk with 10hr of music on each for a total of 120 hours of uninterrupted listening pleasure :!: - admin - 06-14-2007 How are you going to hold the unit in place, sticky back Velcro? Also, how will it take the bumps? - SIR tricky - 06-14-2007 I do like the compact and neat switch panel and relay. At which store did you find that creature. - myplace 46 - 06-15-2007 admin Wrote:How are you going to hold the unit in place, sticky back Velcro? Also, how will it take the bumps?Vic, it is mounted with the factory supplied brackets. I had to trim the left side mount so I could get it as close to left side as possible. due to the shape of the saddlebag, I couldn't get it as tight into the corner as I'd like, there is still a lot of waisted space but, I use that space to pack my frog-togs and first aid kit, gloves etc. as far as bumps go... I was really surprised at how well it does, I have to hit a pretty hard bump to make it skip. this unit sells for $179 usd. at Best Buy. fairly easy to install and works through the Wing's radio system so I can use headset/intercom with no problem. - myplace 46 - 06-15-2007 tricky Wrote:I do like the compact and neat switch panel and relay. Tricky, got it from Advanced Discount Auto here in the states. use to be called Discount Auto but merged with another co. you can check out the company at there web site. http://www.pilotautomotive.com/performance1.html - myplace 46 - 06-19-2007 those are sweet Angela, wish I had thought about marine switches - admin - 06-19-2007 I like the switches Angela but are you really going to put radar and a depth sounder on your Wing? The radar might be handy. - myplace 46 - 06-19-2007 I was just thinkin... I need a pump switch for my bait tank! - admin - 06-19-2007 In all seriousness Angela you should try contacting the manufacturer to see if they can supply custom labelling for the switches. Quite often that's not a big deal for them if you know what you want. They just punch it into their computer and out comes the custom strips just for you. Then you just apply apply them and they look like factory. - myplace 46 - 06-20-2007 fysty-1 Wrote:myplace 46 Wrote:I was just thinkin...
